EDDM response rate, by industry

Your EDDM response rate depends on your offer, your routes, and how often you mail. We measure it in leads per 1,000 homes and cost per lead. Every card we mail gets its own QR code and tracked phone number, and we count scans, calls, and form fills for 30 days after the drop.

Sample data. These numbers are placeholders until real campaigns run. The live page will say "Data through [month year]" and update monthly.

Does EDDM work?

It works when the card has one clear offer and goes to the right streets more than once. It works less well as a single drop with a list of services. That is why we track every mailing. You see calls and cost per lead, not a guess.

How we measure: leads = QR scans that reached the landing page plus tracked calls plus form fills, counted for 30 days. Cost per lead = total mailing cost divided by leads. A group only appears once it has five or more campaigns, so no single customer can be identified.

Sample case studies

These are examples of how a report reads. The businesses and numbers are not real.

Sample case study. Real estate. 900 homes. Two drops 30 days apart.

Agent mails just listed, then just sold

A just listed card went to the listing's route and the two next to it. A just sold card followed 30 days later on the same routes, with a free home value offer.

Sample case study. HVAC. 4,800 homes. Two drops in May.

HVAC shop books tune-ups before the heat

Mailed the summer AC tune-up card to routes around 40 existing customers. Second drop two weeks later on the same routes.

How tracking works

  • QR code. Each mailing gets its own QR code. It opens a one-page offer with your phone and a short form. Every scan is counted.
  • Call tracking number. On by default. The card shows a local number that forwards to your phone, so we can count calls from this card only.
  • Day 14 report. Most calls come in the first two weeks after homes get the card. You see scans, calls, and form leads so far.
  • Day 30 report. The final count, with total cost and cost per lead. Tell us which leads became customers and the report shows cost per customer too.

What makes a mailing work

  • Mail the same routes at least twice, two to four weeks apart.
  • Pick routes near current customers or your location. Neighbors trust a name they already see.
  • One clear offer with a price or a date, not a list of services.
  • Time it to your season, like spring for lawns or early voting for campaigns.

Every mailing includes QR tracking and day 14 and day 30 reports.
